Juliana Dornellas was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She learned how to speak English at the age of 17 and has since developed a passion for writing poetry in English. In 2003, she graduated in English, Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She has lived in California, London and Rio de Janeiro. But her dream city is Barcelona. Besides writing, she loves musical theater and frappucinos.


Liz Aragon is an artist who grew up in the Bay Area and was schooled at UC Berkeley. Stylistically, her artwork can probably be described as pop surrealism. She is particularly influenced by pop surrealism and lowbrow art as well as Japanese anime and manga styles. The most prominent themes of her artwork include consciousness and thought, wandering in unfamiliar places in the world or within the mind, solitude, dreams, spirituality, the nature of reality, and the mystery of life. She usually portrays these themes by depicting characters with calm, contemplative expressions, placed in surreal and usually colorful atmospheres.
